To strengthen customer loyalty and at the same time revolutionize the shopping experience in their stores, we developed a creative and interactive marketing campaign for Sephora.

Goal

The main goal of this campaign was to increase traffic to Sephora stores while generating relevant customer data. Sephora wanted to create a unique experience that not only entertains customers, but also encourages them to actively engage with the brand. It was crucial to collect the participants' data in a GDPR-compliant manner in order to create a basis for future marketing activities.

Idea

The idea was to develop an interactive gamification that was accessible to customers directly in the Sephora stores via a QR code. The game concept was based on users having to tap as many virtual lipsticks as possible on a customized website, which dropped down on the screen. This simple but captivating game mechanic was designed to increase both brand loyalty and engagement.

Implementation

After scanning the QR code in the stores, customers were redirected to a special website where the course of the game was explained to them. During the game, users collected points by tapping falling lipsticks. After the time had elapsed, their score and position in the ranking was displayed. To participate in the prize draw, customers filled out a GDPR-compliant data request form, which also offered the option to sign up for the Sephora newsletter. This innovative promotion not only increased in-store traffic, but also generated valuable leads and strengthened Sephora's position as a pioneer in customer-centric marketing strategies.
